The legendary rebel play Teeth ’n’ Smiles returns in a powerful 50th-anniversary revival by acclaimed playwright David Hare.
Set against the raw energy of 1960s counterculture, the story follows Maggie Frisby—once the electrifying voice of a revolutionary band, now broke, bruised, and battling disillusionment. As youthful dreams of anarchic rebellion crumble, Maggie rages through one final night, driven by booze, fury, and a voice that refuses to be silenced.
Fifty years after it first shook the Royal Court, this trailblazing production is reborn to ignite the stage once more. Featuring original music and starring Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem) as Maggie, Teeth ’n’ Smiles is a blistering portrait of art, anger, and defiance when the dream is over—but the music plays on.
