This summer, High Society arrives at the Barbican Centre, bringing the glamour and wit of Golden Age musical theatre to the London stage. Featuring the timeless songs of Cole Porter, this lavish production follows socialite Tracy Lord as her elegant society wedding spirals into chaos with romantic entanglements and tabloid scandal.
Starring Helen George and Felicity Kendal, and performed by a 28-strong cast with a full-size live orchestra, the show celebrates classic Broadway style with a sparkling mix of romance, comedy, and musical charm.
Audiences can enjoy Cole Porter’s iconic songbook, including favourites such as “Just One Of Those Things,” “I Love Paris,” and “True Love.” Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Anthony Van Laast, this dazzling revival captures the elegance and energy of one of musical theatre’s most beloved works.
