This November it returns to the West End in a new production from visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge, A Little Life), who reunites with Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Network) alongside Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths, The Amen Corner) and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You, Death of England: Delroy) Respected, self-made businessman Joe (Bryan Cranston) prides himself on providing for his wife and their two sons.

While wartime delivers profits for the family, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action.

Peacetime brings little peace of mind as Joe’s true involvement in the activity begins to surface, and he is suddenly confronted by the consequences of his actions.

Arthur Miller skewers the dishonest promise of the American Dream in this disturbingly prescient play.

  • Arthur Miller's classic American tragedy directed by visionary Ivo Van Hove
  • Stars Emmy and Tony Award-winning Bryan Cranston in his West End return following his Olivier Award-winning performance in Network
  • Features acclaimed actors Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu in powerful supporting roles
  • Gripping family drama exploring themes of responsibility, morality, and the consequences of wartime actions
  • Compelling examination of the American Dream and its darker underpinnings
