An absolutely essential part of any visit to London, Westminster Abbey is one of the city’s most iconic buildings. Steeped in over a thousand years of history, Benedictine monks first started worshipping at this site in the middle of the tenth century and the current building has been there for over 700 years.

This magnificent gothic construct is a sight to behold and the incredible stained glass is some of the most impressive in the UK.
Poets’ Corner
Visit the literary corner, a place of pilgrimage for literature lovers. It is named the Poet’s Corner due to the number of poets and writers that have been buried there such as William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Rudyard Kipling.
Kings and Queens
Westminster Abbey has been the venue for 39 Royal coronations since 1066 including the current reigning King Charles III. With seventeen monarchs buried at the Abbey, it was also the wedding venue of William and Kate in 2011.
